March 2022
Dear friends,
Thank you for for reading my newsletter these past months and for reading this one where I say, finally, that today is my book’s official publication date. And to celebrate, I’m showing you my bookmark swag!
As you know, They Called Us Girls is a collection of biographical portraits of women who succeeded in “men’s” jobs in the 1940s, 50s and 60s, an era when women were expected to stay home. I’m pleased to say it’s gotten some really nice endorsements (see book trailer, link below).
Your local bookstore should have it, but if they don’t, please ask them to order it. Or go online and order from bookshop.org, Barnes and Noble or, if you must, from Amazon. And once you’ve read it, it would be most helpful if you put a review on Amazon and/or Goodreads, which you can do no matter where you purchased. Or give it a shout-out on social media. Your voice can help me get the word out.
I’m scheduling appearances at book events. If you are in a book group, or involved with your local library or school, and would like me to join one of your meetings (virtually or in person), I’d be delighted.
The trailer tells you most everything you need to know. For more information, including events and media coverage, please check out the other pages of this website.
Thanks, and enjoy.
Kathleen
